YOUR PET’S HEALTH AND WELFARE:
We will always do everything we possibly can to make sure your pet's time in the salon is as pleasant as possible. Unfortunately, occasionally grooming can expose a previously hidden medical issue, or aggrevate a current one. This can happen during or after grooming.
You must confirm that your dog is fit and healthy and up-to-date with vaccination. Grooming of sick or elderly dogs is entirely at owner’s risk. Bramhall Dog Groomers will not be held responsible for the accidental death of your pet as a result of any pre-existing health condition, or any conditions or problems discovered during the grooming process.
Should Bramhall Dog Groomers determine, at it's sole discretion, that urgent veterinary care is required, I agree to pay all associated fees and costs. If my pet's registered vet is not available, I authorise Bramhall Dog Groomers to use its chosen vet.
ALLERGIES:
We always use organic hypoallergenic shampoos, however don’t take responsibility if your dog develops allergic reaction to shampoos, conditioners or any other grooming products. Please bring your own medicated shampoo if you are unsure.
EMMI-PET DENTAL:
Ultrasonic teeth cleaning is suitable for dogs with mild to moderate tartar build-up. It tcan help heal gum disease, freshen breath and reduce tartar. Owners should be aware that removal of even mild tartar can reveal conditions that could not be seen prior to treatment that may need vetinary attention.
NEGLECTED & MATTED COATS:
We don’t comb matted dogs; it is really hurtful for them. You hereby give consent where required required to shave off a matted coat. Matted dogs add additional time to the grooming process, are damaging to our equipment and hence we must charge for removing matts; our charge is £60 per hour charged in increments of 15 minutes, (minimum charge £15).
Wether a dog is matted is at the sole discretion of Bramhall Dog Groomers. We will on request show provid you with photographic evidence.
Bramhall Dog Groomers will not be held liable for any after-grooming effects of de-matting, clipping, brushing procesures, or problems uncovered on a badly matted or otherwise neglected coat including, but not limited to, skin redness, itchiness, or self-inflicted irratations from excessive scratching or rubbing.
EAR PLUCKING:
Removing the hair can irritate the delicate skin of ear canals and lead to ear problems. Plucking the hair from a dog`s ear canal leaves tiny wounds in the skin where bacteria can settle more easily. We only pluck ears if it is requested by client.
FLEAS/TICKS:
If your pet has fleas you MUST advise us in advance of your visit, other wise we may need to charge you a £25 fee to fumigate the salon and equipment. We can treat with a flea treatment bath for an extra charge. However we must decline any other types of service until your pet’s flea infection is treated.
ANAL GLANDS:
We do not perform anal gland expression as part of any service offering. It’s our philosophy that this process should be only performed by licensed veterinary person, and only when medically necessary.
STAFF’S SAFETY:
We reserve the right to gently muzzle your dog if it represents danger to any other dog or person. Please let us know beforehand if your dog has behavioural problems. Whilst customers may disagree with the advice from our groomers, our staff will not accept any abusive or aggressive behaviour whatsoever.
GROOMING ACCIDENTS:
We aim to keep your dog calm, happy and safe, however, accidents do happen. Upmost care and caution will always be taken, but cuts, scratches, nicks and quicking of nails could occur. We will contact you immediately should there be a problem and advise on what to do next.
TIME KEEPING:
We work mainly by appointment. Please be punctual. If you are late more than 20 mins, your appointment will be rescheduled. Most grooms take 1-3 hours or more depending on the size and the temperament of the dog, and its coat condition. You will be advised what collection time.
CANCELLATION / NO-SHOW:
We request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel your pet appointment. No-shows and same day cancellations will be charged a full priced deposit before booking their next appointment. If insufficient notice is given, I agree to pay 50% of the estimated grooming charges. For no-shows we reserve the right to charge 100% of the estimated grooming charges.
PAYMENTS:
Payment will be made on collection of dog. We can accept payment by cash or card. Estimates are based on an average dog of the breed or type but owner must be remember that some dogs will require extra work and that will be an extra charge.
PHOTOGRAPHS:
Your pooch will be photographed before and after its groom. Photographs will be used on our website, social media or other printed materials, if you don't want your dog to be photographed please let us know in advance.
DISCLOSURE:
I agree that I have truthfully informed Bramhall Dog Groomers if my pet has ever bitten another animal and/or human, or if they have any other aggrressive tendancies. I agree and understand that I will be held solely responsible for any injury, harm or damage to property caused by my pet. Bramhall Dog Groomers reserve the right to refuse to grrom a pet in an unsatisfactory state, including, but no tlimited to, behavioral issues, fleas, ticks, other parasites or kennel cough.
